Podcast: Microsoft Hackfest
Written by Jon Seal
Hackathons have long been a way of galvanising focus around a technology or solving those hard to tackle problems. In July’s event, Microsoft focused purely on using cognitive services and the Bot Framework, and brought together participants across retail, government, finance, insurance, and education to solve challenges in those organisations. As part of this, Mando’s Gary and Jonathan were brought in to help set the scene on LUIS, translation services, QnA maker, and conversational design principles.
This podcast, recorded live from the Hackfest event, covers everything from how to approach working with cognitive services, conversational design, to interviews with the organisers and participants in the Hackfest on how Microsoft is supporting the development community in this emerging area.
